We need to send this guy some love: James Dimock, Minnesota State University, Mankato james.dimock@mnsu.edu

This is the article: Answering an Uninvited Preacher http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2010/11/01/mankato

Also good for Tara Mitchell who organized the protest with Professor Dimock advising.

The preacher had some choices, but chose to let the protesters stay, then he complained about them. First amendment protection for me but not for thee, I guess.

Being in what can be described as the Buckle (or even an eyelet) of the Bible Belt, things get rather lonely. Chin up :) the likelihood of meeting folks of like mind is growing every day. Even here in Greenville, SC (home of Bob Jones University [shudder])

@Donnie, hahaha, yeah man, I feel ya, agnostics are so often worse than religious people in terms of being delusional, self-righteous windbags. It's an inherently self-contradictory maxim, and I always am annoyed hearing agnostics go on with this moral relativist, subjectivist bullshit about how religious beliefs are just as valid as atheism, and how there is no objective standard for such beliefs, and how some people "need religion" and how religion has been either benign or even benevolent. Can't stand that shit.

In India the probability to find an atheist (not agnostic there are hordes of them and i hate agnostics) female is next to 0. Guess I'll find Girl friends here ;)

Yea, being in New York isn't so bad, you have a lot of non-religious people, but i want to connect with someone i know through the long wrong sees my views.

well, quite a lot of us are. Especially in the south. But I know some who aren't, because they aren't anxious like me. I think it's part being somewhat closeted and living in more religious areas.
