Paul...there is the "Alberta Atheist" group and if you're looking for atheist friends to join your FB page, there's "Atheist Friend List for Facebook". On the latter group under discussions, there is a Canadian group with a few Albertans on it. Otherwise, if you punch in "atheist" you'll find a number of more general hits. As well as the "National Masturbation Day" event taking place this Thursday seems to be an Atheist idea too...sorry, couldn't help but throw that in there (^_-)

I would be up for driving to Red Deer or Calgary (I'd have a free place to stay on Calgary!) It would be fun to just get together and talk in real life. a Semi-regular pub-night in Edmonton would attract me as well - as long as they serve Strongbow!

Hey Jesse. :) I was one of the few who did change to an A that week, but I didn't hear about the movement until late in the week unfortunately.

Coincidence! I happen to have a Blasphemy folder on my hard drive where I have similar pics... LOL Haven't uploaded it to facebook yet, but now I definately will and when I do I'll post the link here.

Go Red Deer! Just stopping in to drop a link to a photo album I created on facebook called "Blasphemy" that's causing quite a stir amongst my religious friends/family.

Facebook is an excellent forum for debate if you wish to enlighten those closest to you. I highly recommend starting your own album/debate. I got the idea after the epic failure of 'A' Week on Facebook. Tons of people joined the group or invited other atheists to join, but very few actually changed their photo to an 'A' for the week. The common answer when I asked why was "My family might see it". I hope some of you here will have the courage to stand and be counted amongst the rational. Thanks!
