Not sure if there is much going on in this group, but as an atheist and an Albertan, I thought I should join.

I've been told these are the coordinates, 52 34.33.60 N 113 30 22.27

From Morningside we are 8 km east on the county line road (some may know it as the "604") and 400 meters south.

Our rural address is 41525 RG RD 252 posted at the end of our driveway...so is our name "Rudy and Marie Kiist". Watch for a 150' tall communications tower on our property...you can see it for miles before. I'm going to try to attach a map picture as well (note you can reach our place via hwy 815 too). Last mile is gravel road.

Sounds interesting. The 30th sounds a bit busy, but i may still make it :-) Can you post gps coordinates?

And in relation to Eosine's comment, we're having a little get together at my farm 30 mins north of Red Deer on the 30th of this month. Starts at 4 PM and will go into the evening/night. If anyone here is interested, speak up and I'll give more details and directions. And keep in mind, just because you don't know anyone is not an excuse not to come. In fact, it's kinda the point of these social events.

How many folks in this group, along with Rudy, are from Central Alberta?  And are you aware of this group: http://www.meetup.com/Central-Alberta-Skeptics/

Just a short note to tell people about two new books (fiction) of interest to atheists (there are so few!).

The Blasphemy Tour, by Jass Richards - Two Canadian atheists go on a cross-country speaking tour of American Bible Colleges…. Irreverent. Definitely irreverent.

Thus Saith Eve, by chris wind - A collection of ‘epistles’, each written from the point of view of one of the women from The Bible, as if she had a contemporary feminist consciousness. For example, (my fav), Eve does not accept blame for choosing the apple, for choosing knowledge over obedience.

Both are Canadian authors published by me (Magenta, Ontario).

Cool, athiests in Alberta, I'm in - please inform me of any social events in future, thanks

Those of us who met were in Red Deer though, Pat. I assume, you're talking Calgary, since that's where you said you're from?

And yes, Kormakur, another get together would be great!

I'm always game for another visit.
