Would be interested to hear your experiences so far in finding a job after college. I imagine it's tough out there at the moment.

Hi everyone! I'm a somewhat recent college grad (2009). Right now I'm working at my p/t job in retail, still looking for full-time work. *sigh* There are a couple of co-workers who know I'm an Atheist (because it came up in conversation that they are also Atheists). I make a point of not discussing my views on religion with most people (especially customers!).

Hi Buford Twain. I am not sure if my co-workers have gotten over me being Atheist because they just don't bring it up. But they treat me the same.

Religion is one of those taboo subject, like death - honestly I don't know why that should be. We are all here trying to figure out why we are here, so why not talk about it?

The word "atheist" is very emotionally charged. Sometimes I use "non-believer" instead, to soften the blow. It's the "A" word that tends to freak people out, I have found. Often due to the ignorance or bigotry of the people being freaked out...

Have your co-workers gotten over the fact that you are an atheist yet?

I think alot of times in the work place, religion is not brought up because people assume everyone believes in god. My co-workers were shocked to find out I am Atheist.
