I could use a super slow running buddy for the women's Vancouver WA Susan Komen half October 16th. I'm going to get an Atheist T-shirt to wear for the run in order to get in some gentle advertising.

Do I need to wear my atheist t-shirt to bring us out of the wood work, lol?

Comment by Mike Haynes on December 27, 2010 at 4:09pm: I started running in Oct 2009 to lose weight, then a friend talked me into running a 5K event with her, and I was hooked. One year later I had two 1/2 marathons under my belt and had just finished my 1st full marathon (The final Lewis & Clark Marathon in St Charles, MO). Just this morning I started training for my 2nd full marathon. Central Illinois, 20 degrees, 3 miles on a mix of asphalt and packed snow! Awesome fun!

There's one thing I sometimes avoid, though: a combination of wind and rain when tempuratures are low. Wet and wind-chill don't go together here in Denmark where it's only just above freezing at the moment and we're having the first snow of the year.
