Atheist Photography Club

For the most part we photographers see the world as it truly is through the lens of a camera which is what we also strive to do as atheists and skeptics. Photographers of all skill levels welcome.

I'm not an amazing photographer, but I'm trying. if anybody here gets bored, feel free to visit my blog, and take a look at my shots, and if you feeling the need to vent, you can do so by telling me how i might improve.

Okay. Seeing how small the image displays in this thread, I thought I would add insult to injury and upload a tighter crop of the three deer. I think the one on the left is blinking his eye.

I took this shot on the way to a New Year's Eve party. My daughters saw some deer standing in a residential yard, so I got out and took some shots. I wasn't expecting much, and I was surprised by the result. It will never go in a museum, but what the heck. You can see the 3 deer silouetted - sorta. This may be the worst image I ever posted anywhere, but for some reason, I like it.

This is cropped quite a bit. The full frame is downsized and inset in the upper right, just so you know.

9pm at night; 20mm lens @ f/2.8, 1/4 second handheld, Nikon D700 @ ISO 3200.

This was after we had a huge ice storm in New England, and the whole outdoors was covered with ice. A few nights later the moon was the closest it's been to the earth in a long time, so I set up my tripod in the freezing cold. This exposure was about 30 seconds long.

I definitely like the one you've posted in your comment. Very detailed, even to the pollen that's scattered on the flower petals. Nice nice nice!
