Comment by kara on February 22, 2013 at 1:41pm Hello all! I joined this group a long while back but I never did get round to checking it out properly. I've been on quite a journey but then I'm sure many of you have too. I'm influenced by science and history but I take a lot from the stories and symbolism of paganism. The archetypes of the gods and heroes speak to me and I express my joy and reverence of the world around me in small rituals that give me focus but are completely woo free. So that's a little bit about me I hope to get to know some of you.

Comment by Kayla Mars on February 15, 2013 at 9:05pm I like learning about the history of the different goddess/gods of Paganism from around the world. It connects me with my ancestors and I just love the stories. Monotheism really sucked the life out of everything, IMO ;)
Comment by Carmen Savu on February 15, 2013 at 5:58pm What is your take on polytheism? I think it is much more reasonable and suitable to human needs and experiences than monotheism. The non-existence of gods aside, of course. :)
Comment by Kayla Mars on February 15, 2013 at 5:33pm But I do have a fondness for the Celtic pantheon and history.
Comment by Carmen Savu on February 15, 2013 at 3:29pm I am into Slavic Polytheism.
Comment by Kayla Mars on February 15, 2013 at 3:05pm I don't know. I have an atheistic coven of witches and we do esbats. I have an altar and do meditation with spells and tarot cards. Just trying learning about what I want to incorporate into my life.
Comment by Carmen Savu on February 15, 2013 at 2:34pm So what kind of 'Pagan' are you?
Comment by Kayla Mars on February 15, 2013 at 2:01pm I just got into Paganism within the last six months and I didn't really know if there was a place for me as an atheist with Pagan leanings. So glad I found this! With a lot of other atheist pagan blogs and communities. Love the ritual and how it allows for me to focus, but without actually believing in "magic" and "energies" and cosmic consciousness. Thanks again!
Comment by Sean Murphy on February 1, 2013 at 10:21pm I saw a bumper sticker recently that explained my POV near perfectly. To paraphrase:
I'm Creationist - I believe Man created gods.
