Im Confused.

I don't understand why the Jaguars released David Garrard.  I understand that Blaine Gabbert (am I the only one that noticed how similar the structure of their last names is?) is the future there, but surely Garrard is still their best option.

Why string him along for the entire pre-season, take almost every snap with the 1st team offense, play in the preseason games, then release him 5 days before the regular season starts?  It doesn't make sense to me.

I wonder if the Titans or Colts are going to go after him.  Not only is he better than the options they have now (Locker and Collins) but he can, and probably gladly will, be able to tell them all kinds of fun secrets about the Jaguar offense.
