Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Comment by Christopher Baughman on January 9, 2011 at 3:18am: I love how they're saying he's left wing for owning the Communist Manifesto while completely ignoring the fact that he owns Mein Kampf as well. This man was just nuts, and I've no doubt in my mind that this fiery rhetoric coming from various outspoken conservatives concerning, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Now I'll admit to not being immune from bringing up that phrase in previous points of my life. But I'm not in the public spotlight either. I'm not the one people are looking up to regarding the future of this nation. And even then when I brought it up it was strictly limited to the question of where our nation is going by giving increasing amounts of power to the executive branch. You'll be living in interesting times if you ever see a President prosecuted for war crimes on either the national or international stage. Regardless after finding the video of the speech Keely referred to on a site I soon found in the comments section people advocating similar arguments to Jefferson's speech regarding revolution. And how what happened to this congresswoman wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

I find it rather ironic that some people I know locally wonder why I fear I'll see either a civil war or an insurrection in my lifetime, within the US.

I am sure there are at least some republicans on the list going back as far as Abraham Lincoln. Of course he was the first republican President. I know some that were shot and didn't die such as Reagan and Wallace were republicans. All and all you might be right but my guess is these folks are a little more loony tune than political. I am more to the right than the left myself, but I do not consider myself a right winger. I believe in helping the poor and a national health care but I believe taxing the rich so much that the flow of cash into the economy is strangled is counter productive. Thanks for the list it will be interesting to look into it more.

(I won't say left-winger since the concept is so different in the USA). I invite you to reacquaint yourself with your own history: List of Assassinated American Politicians. Now click on the year arrow to show recents first, making it easier to read, discount judges who were murdered by drug lords, and you're left with an overwhelming bias in exactly who is at the receiving end of most political murders in the USA.
