Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Love,

--Joe

Steve Jobs' (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) best quote ever, from 2009:

“Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.”

I take from it that the constant imminence of death keeps us on our toes and creative, while excessive longevity can only provide stagnation of ideas and society. He will be missed.

Love The Gruen...

Comment by Susan Stanko on October 2, 2011 at 8:02pm
For what it's worth. TNT, I caught the sarcasm.
Comment by Joseph P on October 2, 2011 at 6:41pm

"In fact, for the first time in four seasons of Gruen, we had agencies decline to take a shot at it.  No one had a problem when we wanted to bring back child labor, invade New Zealand, or euthanize everyone over eighty ... but this idea scared people."

Heh, holy crap.

eh, sorry, I was being sarcastic, in that I don't consider it was "Israeli business acumen" that did it for Israel but USA business acumen...
Comment by Doc on October 2, 2011 at 1:58pm

Ah, but the USA allows all sorts of religious and nonreligious people to live in peace within its borders.  Are you certain that's a goal the Palestinian Muslims will accept?  Or do you suggest they can do as well with a Saudi Arabian style restriction on religion?

At any rate, like Egypt, I think they want to feel the pride of building up themselves, rather than having someone come in to do it for them.  And that's not a bad thing.

same business acumen that built and supports the State of Israel

Ah yes... the USA, yes it would be interesting to have the USA build up Palestine :)

Comment by Doc on October 2, 2011 at 12:53pm

@TNT666, at least we don't have to worry what the Palestinian Courts would say to a Jewish resident.  The PA won't allow any inside their borders.  That is, of course, why "settlements" and "settlers" must be removed, right?  Personally, were I heading the PA, I'd say, let them keep building, and then, if they don't like the new government under which they find themselves living, they can leave.  There are plenty of others needing the homes.  As long as they stay, though, they might just show the same business acumen that built and supports the State of Israel, thereby helping to build the State of Palestine.

This concept has some historic precedent, by the way:  Before Germany was a nation, it was a cluster of Germanic kingdoms.  Whenever one was doing poorly financially, it allowed Jews to migrate in.  Then, when doing well, it kicked them back out, again, taking their homes and whatever they couldn't carry as they were forced to flee.

Wow a judge in Israel speaking of a basic dignity... hmmm... I wonder what say he of Palestinians...
