Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Love,

--Joe

vaguely and peaceful go hand in hand... if the protesters got specific you can sure there would be more violence. It is the illusion of our Western democracy, as long as you are vague in your criticism, you are quite safe.

Deep, Something To Think About: I Am Not Moving[Occupy Wall Street]

Comment by TNT666 on October 24, 2011 at 12:37pm

the movement is generally (vaguely) directed against corporatism and I find that generally, modern atheists are very corporatist, maybe that's why? Corporatism is a religion and I often find conversations here frustrating because of this unscientific bias that atheists have... atheists who simply traded one religion for another :(

Occupy Wallstreet?

Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations

Was Occupy Wall Street an internet era movement?

Wallstreet protests?

The Greatest Conspiracy of Our Time!

Each one is pretty much dominated by Corporatists spouting their mouth off.

It seems to be a drawback of the Ning system that topics are not better gathered.

Not news, but I wanted to share.

I verily believe that the great good which has been effected in the world by Christianity has been largely counteracted by the pestilent doctrine on which all the Churches have insisted, that honest disbelief in their more or less astonishing creeds is a moral offense, indeed a sin of the deepest dye, deserving and involving the same future retribution as murder and robbery. If we could only see, in one view, the torrents of hypocrisy and cruelty, the lies, the slaughter, the violations of every obligation of humanity, which have flowed from this source along the course of the history of Christian nations, our worst imaginations of Hell would pale beside the vision.  -- Thomas Henry Huxley

Steve Jobs' (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) best quote ever, from 2009:

“Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.”

I take from it that the constant imminence of death keeps us on our toes and creative, while excessive longevity can only provide stagnation of ideas and society. He will be missed.

“Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.”“Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.”

Love The Gruen...

Comment by Susan Stanko on October 2, 2011 at 8:02pm
For what it's worth. TNT, I caught the sarcasm.
Comment by Joseph P on October 2, 2011 at 6:41pm

"In fact, for the first time in four seasons of Gruen, we had agencies decline to take a shot at it.  No one had a problem when we wanted to bring back child labor, invade New Zealand, or euthanize everyone over eighty ... but this idea scared people."

Heh, holy crap.
