Atheist News Podcast Project

Hey guys.

I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore.

Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I.

Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long.

I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING.

Love,

--Joe

I added a new discussion about that on the main page.  If you have time to leave a comment at the link I would appreciate it.  Baby steps in NC is better than going backwards.

But you're on the other side of the Triangle ...

I have a couple of clients down in Sanford.  I'm familiar with it.  I think Franklin County is far worse.

Comment by Tammy S on May 31, 2012 at 7:48am

Haha Joseph, yeah that's me a sewer of the seeds of discord, you been talkin' to mah neighbors ain't ye?

Comment by Joseph P on May 31, 2012 at 7:37am

Oh, hey, you're local to this one too, Tammy.  ^.^  That explains the source.

Comment by Joseph P on May 31, 2012 at 7:35am

Yeah, I've been there, briefly.  It's a little nothing of a town.  There are worse parts of North Carolina, but Franklin County is about as bad as it gets, so close to a major city.

One long-time Franklinton resident, Clyde Waiden, was upset with the school board and says the board should have sought public input.

“I think each one of you should resign your position that we the voters put you in. If you're ashamed of God being represented in our schools then we don't need you to support us,” said Waiden.

I love how morons like this don't even realize that their elected officials are acting in their best interests.  A podunk, rural county like this can't afford a couple hundred thousand for a legal battle that they're guaranteed to lose.

Some Franklinton residents are outraged after the Franklin County School Board voted unanimously Tuesday to eliminate prayer in schools.

One wonders if the idiot in the cafe they interviewed for this 'news program' has ever heard of the Treaty of Tripoli.

Comment by David W on May 29, 2012 at 9:00am

Prayer works where medicine obviously fails. I wonder if they had stayed at home would the girl still be alive.

The level of hatred one must have to pay for something like this. Even if you think that Zimmerman was right, the boy is dead, that's the lowest of the low, can't image what his parents must be going through.
