Atheist News Podcast ProjectHey guys. I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore. Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I. Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long. I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted. Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING. Love, --Joe Questions, comments?

Comment by sk8eycat on February 2, 2013 at 1:54am Loren and Pat, I've been saying the same for YEARS! At the very least, Phoney Mahony is guilty of obstruction of justice....not only because of shuffling the rapists around from parish to parish, but the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has been trying to get him to release the files on those priests for a decade or longer.
If it had been anyone but a church-man, he would have been sitting in the county jail till he talked. That's what happened to a journalist many years ago who had had private interviews with a man who was on trial for murder. [shrugs]
I also have a severe problem with the parents who, in the rare cases when a child did work up the courage to tell them what a priest had done to him or her, did NOT go directly to the police, but talked to a church official first...or only. Such behavior gave the church the opportunity to sweep everything under the nearest rug.
I wonder how many centuries this has been going on...
Comment by Joan Denoo on February 1, 2013 at 7:52pm Thanks sk8eycat, Loren Miller, and Pat. I agree with each of you. Am reposting.
Comment by Pat on February 1, 2013 at 6:58pm Good point, Loren. The worthless bastards should be in a maximum security prison, along with Jerry Sandusky. Quite frankly, so should Rat Boy Benedict, the current pontiff, and Cardinal Law from Boston, for their obstruction of justice. And if there was a semblance of justice, and they were in the joint, I'd be the first to send the "soap on a rope," with the rope cut.
Comment by Loren Miller on February 1, 2013 at 6:37pm The problem, though, sk8ey, is that the SOB should be UNDER ARREST!!!
And the hell of it is, any one of those priests who molested children or their superiors, who shuffled them around different parishes and hid them from the prying eyes of civil authorities ... ALL of them should be rotting in JAIL ... and I want to know why they aren't!
