Atheist News Podcast ProjectHey guys. I probably shouldn't put this off anymore, so I'm just going to jump on it and improvise. I'm pretty sure the show is over. It was a ton of fun doing it, but with work and my son and my wife in school I simply don't have time to do it anymore. Other folks have offered to take over but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Quit while you're ahead, sez I. Anyhow, I payed for another year of hosting, so the archive of podcasts will be available for at least that long. I really enjoyed podcasting, so I might do something again in the future. I'll keep you posted. Thanks guys and gals! It was AMAZING. Love, --Joe Questions, comments?

Tim Tebow To Deliver Easter Speech At Celebration Texas Church
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/06/tim-tebow-easter_n_1409143...
Comment by Sentient Biped on April 6, 2012 at 9:48pm 1. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
2. At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee;
on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
(Refrain)
3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
(Refrain)
4. Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
we have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail.
(Refrain)
5. Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King,
this through countless ages men and angels sing.
(Refrain)
This would be quite perky if we could get some of our favorite politicians to sing it in a choir, sort of like "I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony"
I used to have to sing that song for chapel (private school and all).. I know the song very well. I have it memorized.
Yeah .. that song is scary.
Comment by Joan Denoo on April 6, 2012 at 12:33pm Greg, you wrote, "Interesting how they missed that the weapons are not of this world, and that the armor was 'god's' - no armor needed when the creator of the universe is on one's side, right?"
Oh yes! I remember well putting on the armor of god ... believing love, peace and justice came through the strength of the blade and warrior.
Perhaps a film showing a mother hen protecting her chicks from the bright and hot sun is not appropriate for such a film. No! that would never work.
Comment by AtheistTech on April 6, 2012 at 9:33am That's two and a half minutes of my life I will never get back.
Comment by Sentient Biped on April 6, 2012 at 9:11am Thank you all for commenting on that video. It's a reminder that we need to keep our eyes open about religiosity. Accomodationism has its appeal, and the idea of "moving on" is important, but as long as we have these crusaders of, whatever they are crusading for, eternal vigilance is needed. Plus it's nice to see that others are as outraged as I am.
Comment by Jason Fleming on April 6, 2012 at 7:57am Watched with the volume off, so forgive me if they explained it. Why is the dude dressed like a Roman soldier of all things? Is he gonna put a spear in the side of Jebus next?
Comment by Greg LeGore on April 6, 2012 at 5:48am Interesting how they missed that the weapons are not of this world, and that the armor was 'god's' - no armor needed when the creator of the universe is on one's side, right? Of course, the bible has a bunch of stuff that few people actually believe...although a few stupid people test the edge cases each year by handling snakes, drinking something harmful, etc. Too bad they don't know that they are depending upon a human delusion, a human creation.
Comment by Joan Denoo on April 5, 2012 at 10:55pm That "bootcamp promo" is the most disgusting, outrageous, obscene video I can imagine; it was produced as a promotion? What on earth do these men think decency and strength looks like? Certainly not anything I respect.
Comment by Joan Denoo on April 5, 2012 at 10:52pm A woman with wise judgment, good character, strong will, standing up for and with her family to protect the community from all forms of abuse, to recognize oppression when it occurs, to take stands, privately and publicly against domination, who provides a model of thoughtful and insightful understanding of different personalities and who can provide an environment where each individual has the safety of self-expression, while maintaining boundaries of decency, responsibility and compassion. Where the highest value is seeing and hearing others as she expresses her own nature.
