Mention creationism, and many scientists think of the United States, where efforts to limit the teaching of evolution have made headway in a couple of states. But the successes are modest compared with those in South Korea, where the anti-evolution sentiment seems to be winning its battle with mainstream science.

South Korea Surrenders To Creationist Demands

Pardon my french, but that is very seriously fucked up.

Yeah, it made me sick to my stomach. This is what these creeps want to do here and work diligently toward daily. Look at the seeds of hate they've sewn in Africa, yet we let them come home unscathed while thousands die in the wake of their poisoned sermons....

I would be curious to know how much Sun Myung Moon and his troops have had to do with this noise ... and I would bet his influence on this issue is more than a little substantial.

You know you expect some crazy shit out of the North, but I think I assumed with all their technology, the South was different and then I remembered... oh yeah, there's an American military base there, so there's likely a good many fundamentalist clergy persons creeping around and well, that religious nut bar and his church... thinks he's the second coming right?

What insane bull shit! If ignorance is bliss... we live in paradise!

Amen to that Edward! *evil grin*

I actually had to quote myself on that one ;-)

Hello All, God here. Let me explain what happened. I'll start with this quote directly from the link provided by Tammy S:

The move has alarmed biologists, who say that they were not consulted. “The ministry just sent the petition out to the publishing companies and let them judge,” says Dayk Jang, an evolutionary scientist at Seoul National University.

Let me translate and paraphrase: The politicians sent the petition out to everybody who was not a scientist and those folks decided to eliminate Evolution from the high school text books.

I have always said for thousands of years that man is evil. He cannot tell the truth nor be trusted. That's why I sent fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah and then I flooded the entire Earth with waters to drown the entire human race (except for Noah and his family).

Let's bomb them with our opinions! I tried to find the email address to send the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology some heart felt observations, but I could only find people outside of South Korea talking about it. I wonder why I found the results I did.

South Korea is a very Christian nation these days. That's probably why.

Dear God,

Thanks for the answers! Thank God, errr uhmmm I mean you... we have floods and brimstone rains! Can you send some brimstone upon my neighbors?

Thanks!

Ever your unfaithful servant in darkness,

Tammy

With all the media attention the on the Pope, important stories are being missed, human rights violations, Monsanto protection act, Russia march to blasphemy laws, and of the big story this week did Harry Potter vanquish dementors?See More
