"First and foremost, is the bold face of atheism that I believe will become bolder yet. Those who seek to explain the world in natural terms and who disbelieve in the supernatural will make stronger and more direct attacks upon the faith of our children."

The what?!? Don't those assholes mean their faith that they force on the children?
Are they actually trying to use the word supernatural in a positive sense here? Gah...

Supernatural is just another word for ignorance.
Yup.

A solid secular education and removal of special privilege for religion constitutes "attacks upon the faith of our children" according to the twisted and morally bankrupt thinking of those inculcated in theist doctrine.

And this is why they want to corrupt the secular education system and impose their beliefs on the children of both those of other faiths and non-believers.
Also shows how flimsy their own beliefs are. If they are so certain of their own beliefs and that God really does exist, what possible difference could anyone else's opinions make. If their God is just and they are concerned for "our children" wouldn't their God preserve said children's faith. In a way it's kind of flattering. We as a group are more powerful than their supposed God. There's a headline I'd find amusing, "Atheists kick the shit out of God". Of course, back on planet reality that would be the same as saying we beat up Puff the Magic Dragon. :)
Exactly one of my biggest arguments D.O.S.

If your god is the best, won't your kids naturally select it over other paths? If your god is all-powerful, what does he/you have to fear from us little old heretics?
The title (as well as the article) reminds me of that line from Star Trek, The Wrath of Khan, "from Hell's heart, I stab at thee." Too bad the next line of the quote, "for hate's sake, I spit my last breath..." doesn't also apply. This religious viewpoint will be around a long time yet.
I'm wondering where he got that data that says the 20th century was the bloodiest. Exactly where is that recorded?
