Molestation?  No.  MUTILATION?!?  HELL, YES!

More than that, going to the link in the article, something like 10,000 to 20,000 kids were sexually abused in Holland.  Holy Jesus!  Nearly 30% of Dutch are catholic.  Why?  What possible excuse do people have to belong to this huge depraved, sexually obsessed, abusive, corrupt, organized crime ring?

Unfortunately, mostly because they've been taught to be scared out of their wits of this deity-thingie ... and otherwise, to kneel down, pay up, and shut up.

Time to go on a shooting spree.

Allow me to preface my following comments. I am NOT a fan of the religious mafia known as the Roman Catholic Church. Far from it. They are among, along with Islam, the top evil influences in the world today. Now, having said that.....

It's not just the religious who are responsible for castration and sterilization in recent history. While Nazi Germany put a bad name on this practice, it was prevalent in the US prior to 1950, along with other countries.

The icon of American jurisprudence, US Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, sanctioned it in Buck V. Bell274 U.S. 200 (1927). Finding involuntary sterilization Constitutional, he wrote, It is better for all the world if, instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind. The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes. Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11. Three generations of imbeciles are enough. (My emphasis).

And, please remember, it wasn't that long ago (certainly within my lifetime) that being gay or a lesbian was considered being a social degenerate and having a mental illness; irrespective of your religion or lack thereof. It wasn't until 1974 that being a homosexual was no longer considered a mental disorder. And, during the 1970's, it came to light just how many Native American women in the US were involuntarily sterilized as a result of their "race."

Yeah, the Catholic Church hierarchy are a group of scum buckets. No argument here. But, before we point the finger solely at them, we all might look into a mirror at our collective history and assign blame where it belongs. Not entirely religious bigotry, but societal bigotry as a whole.

And it didn't get rid of the imbeciles.

No, it didn't. There's a 4th generation who's currently in 2nd place for the Republican Presidential nomination.

No argument from me.  I grew up in a town that had disappearing of suspected gay men, and at least one supposed mob-murder of a gay man, in the 60s.  (mob like group of angry people, not mob like Al Capone).  Those things were kept out of public knowledge, so I only knew the rumors.  And that some men really did disappear without a trace.

One thing I recall in this case, though, is that one of the castrated boys was castrated because he reported on a priest for molesting him.  That does add a nuance over just sexually abusing boys and castrating supposedly gay boys.
