For once, a commercial during a news broadcast may have been as notable as the news itself. The Freedom From Religion Foundation aired a 30-second commercial at the third break, during the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley. Not an event we see very often, but in light of the Reason Rally and the seeming lack of mainstream news coverage it got, perhaps this makes up for it, if only a little.
