Bills were introduced into the Florida House and Senate today that would allow students to vote on whether or not they want to hear a prayer and which student they want to hear it from. link

One wonders what goes through the minds of such legislators. They've worded it carefully so that, on the face of it, it accords with Supreme Court decisions. The amusing thing is, that by actually codifying it in law, they'll be violating those very same Supreme Court decisions. At least in my non-lawyer opinion.

One wonders if they've ever bothered to read the First Amendment. It's the very first sentence of the very First Amendment of the Bill of Rights that is supposedly the backbone of America.

Second Amendment: They know the first few words of that one like a sacred prayer. First Amendment? What's that?
So we won't actually have state sponsored religion...unless people vote for it? Bollocks!
Republican Christians and Constitutionality...they never go hand-in-hand anymore do they?
Idiots.
