70,000 / 25 years = 2,800 per year
2,800 / 365 = 7.8 per day (7 days per week)
2,800 / 261 = 10.7 per day (5 day workweek, weekends off, no vacation taken)
2,800 / 251 = 11.2 per day (as above but with two weeks vacation)

In other words, on average, less than 1 hour per case.

With 3 assistants, about 4 hours per case.

Methinks some exaggeration is going on ....

well, he's only been the chief exorcist for 25 years, i'd imagine he was a non-chief exorcist for them for many years before that. it's still all bullshit, but it's longer running bullshit...

70,000 cases in 25 years... this man is very busy ! I had the curiosity to calculate and this means 7.66 cases every day in a year (365.25 days a year).

No shit. I guess the torture chambers aren't really an indication, though. And the Malleus Maleficarum? No reason to suppose anything there, either. But being caught raping children? Okay, now the devil must be at work.
