Angela Merkel says Germany doesn't have too much Islam, but too little Christianity
"Chancellor Angela Merkel urged Germans debating Muslim integration to stand up more for Christian values, saying Monday the country suffered not from “too much Islam” but “too little Christianity.”
"Addressing her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, she said she took the current public debate in Germany on Islam and immigration very seriously. As part of this debate, she said last month that multiculturalism there had utterly failed.
"Some of her conservative allies have gone further, calling for an end to immigration from “foreign cultures” — a reference to Muslim countries like Turkey — and more pressure on immigrants to integrate into German society."

Oh, they won't phrase it like that, so no one will be able to outwardly call them on it. They'll talk about being less enclosed as communities, opening up to the nation more, et cetera...but these fucks basically mean 'get rid of that nasty brown religion and adopt our white one'.

Angela Merkel was raised in the officially atheist German Democratic Republic. She was always a dissident, opposing the communist oppression of liberty and free speech. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, she engaged in the Christian Democratic Party, because those were her capitalist free-market beliefs.
Nowadays, she tries to soothe her right-wing conservative grassroots voters by making the occasional pro-Christian statement, to which she is forced by the fact that she is in a coalition with the VERY secular Free Democrats. Another problem is the obnoxious clown Horst Seehofer from Bavaria, to whom she is obliged to maintain a certain degree of friendship, if only in appearance.
Moreover, she is also reacting to the national upheaval caused by Thilo Sarrazin's book Deutschland schafft sich ab, in which it was claimed that radical Islam is refusing to integrate into modern Western democracy - i. e. Germany.
I don't know about you, but I am perfectly fluent in German and keep up with current affairs there. In fact, I'd be more than happy to emigrate to a stable democracy and healthcare with a social security worthy of that name. -
