Catholic League president Bill Donohue explains why the Catholic League is starting a new initiative aimed at atheists:

Approximately 80 percent of Americans are Christian, and 96 percent celebrate Christmas. Of the 20 percent who are not Christian, non-believers make up the largest segment, though the number of self-identified atheists is tiny. David Silverman, president of American Atheists, knows this to be true, which is why he is frantically trying to inflate his base. “We want people to realize that there may be atheists in their family,” he told the New York Times, “even if those atheists don’t even know they are atheists.”

I was thinking more along the lines of "... okay with a household with two mommies."

... something that would fit reasonably easily into a porn film scenario, in other words.

Well, I think if christians are going to adopt atheists, they should regress them back to babyhood so that they can be born again and then be babies again.  There does seem to be a culture of adult babies, so there is precedent, sort of.

Born again Atheists!

Adult babies...  Hmm...  I think I would like to see them adopt DJ OZMA and his guys.

He's parodying something, I hope?  :-D  I'd hate to think someone was performing like that and meant it.

You never really know with Ozma.  He likes to keep people guessing.  I think he just makes weird videos with homoerotic undertones for the shock factor and because he's... uh, really pretty in drag?  (Ozma's the guy with the blond afro.)

Heh, yeah, a little on the effeminate side.  And I'm definitely down with doing things just because the conservatives think you shouldn't do things like that.

Just a little bit on the effeminate side.

Also has a thing for magic mushrooms, I believe.  He got in trouble for doing a show where female dancers wore flesh-toned unitards with realistic breasts painted on and a mushroom symbol over the crotch.  C'mon, conservatives, they were clothed.

Okay, yeah, maybe more than a little.  :-D

Oh, No!  More pairs of youngsters in white shirts and ties coming to the door.  Hope they at least bring Girl Guide cookies.

Perhaps we should launch an "Adopt a Christian" campaign.

Exactly!

Signing Atheists

I was going to set up a group for Deaf Atheists, but figured I'd probably be alone in here if I did that so I figured I'd open it to anyone who knows sign language or even interested in learning it.
