That's right! Fuck you!

Now that I got that off my back I should probably explain where my frustration and hostility is coming from. I have no problem  with disagreeing on the topic of if objective moral values exist or not, nor do I have a problem with disagreeing on the topic of if morals come from God or not. We do not have to agree on these things to recognize that regardless of where they come from and if they are relative or not that morals do indeed exist  and that by in large we can all agree on most morals. This is why it enrages me when I read or hear some one make a statement along the lines of this one made by Lita Cosner of Creation.com. In an article titled "Is the Bible an Immoral Book?" she says this "First, it must be noted that the atheist has no logical ground for saying that anything is ‘good’ or ‘bad’,  other than his own personal preferences. Evolution is based on the survival of the fittest at the expense of the 'unfit'. How can any ethics be based on 'nature', red in tooth and claw?"

Yeah, classic evasion bullshit.  She knows that a lot of the stuff in the Bible is horrifying and immoral, by her own moral sense ... but rather than admit that, she obfuscates.

Last time I checked humans think on a much higher level than your average animal. And evolution never claimed to be a science of morality, just how living beings adapt over time. While I do agree with getting to know the other sides argument is a good idea. I think getting angry over a website that can talk about 'flood geology' and not be funny is really a waste of resources (and brain cells).
