This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

The smiting thing doesn't seem to be up to par either, huh?

I suppose the ''apparitions'' could be in snow & ice here, if we had winter like we used to, but I forgot.....global warming is a fallacy.......

I'll bet his voicemail is disconnected, too.  Maybe he forgot to pay the bill?  (He's very bad about spending his own money....)

PS:  Glad to see you back!  How do you feel?

Funny about god's plan, Patricia. He seems to get lazier and lazier and much less imaginative. Poor guy, I think he's getting too old for the job. Doesn't even answer prayers anymore. He probably belongs in a nursing home. Or better yet, perhaps it's time for hospice.

Patricia: around here the "apparitions" are tortilla-based.

Pat: That grew out of a joke I heard when the Alou brothers were still in baseball....that long ago!

There was a 4th Alou brother who stayed out of the spotlight and that nobody ever talked about because he hated his name..... Boog.

Felaine, I'm stealing the Puerto Rican baseball player routine. That is fantastic!!

Good stuff here, especially "God's [increasingly ineffectual] plan", "Stephen Hawking denies God", "The Bible will change your life!", and Atheism's One Commandment... thanks!

An appropriate followup to the cartoon Bertold shared, of a boy trying to use "intelligent design" in math class:

S.Harris cartoon, two men at a blackboard with mathematical formulas, "THEN A MIRACLE OCCURS", and more math. One of the men points to the 'miracle' step, telling his colleague, "I think you should be more explicit here in step two."

God's plan:

1. Create everything.
2. Flood everything.
3. Sacrifice son.
4. Hide.
5. Vague, ambiguous miracles.
6. Toast based apparitions.

Joseph, my sister is a JeeHoover's Witless; I'll ship her to you if you want me to.

Actually, she rarely goes out ringing doorbells and boring people, but she is obsessed with the Old Testicle "thou shalt nots" in the buybull....  She also has Asperger's syndrome.  When we were kids it had not even been heard of, much less treated.

Hey, Joseph P, now you mention it, I realized that I was just going through the motions when I was a moron missionary.

I wish I'd get more of the doorbell ringers ... well, not Mormons, but the ones who really mean it.  The Moron Mormon boys are always clearly just going through the motions.  The Jehovah's Witness ladies are always so much fun to mess with, though.  It's always clear that they've never thought any of this stuff through ... how scapegoating is bad, but when Jesus does it ...

"Hey, wait, doesn't your Bible explicitly tell you to do scapegoating?  In fact, isn't that where the term came from?  I think I have the verse somewhere around here.

"How do you feel about animal sacrifice?  I have no reason to think any of this stuff actually happened, but even if I did, this stuff is disgusting and immoral."
