Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Ya' know, if it wasn't of such poor quality, I would almost think it was satire.

Ugh. That video nearly made me physically ill. I couldn't even watch the whole thing, had to stop shortly after the doughnut was speaking in tongues. I think Dunkin' Donuts should be suing them (I am not normally a big "pro-lawsuit person) for naming the doughnut "Duncan/Dunkin".

Yes Felix, it's perfectly clear now and I agree.

all this myth should be understood through its connotation, not denotation, I agree but they are the ones who appeal to its denotation (they take it ad litteram) so I suppose they are really talking about a transaction: God has redeemed us by paying something. If god is playing this selling-buying thing, he agrees with the devil possessing us. If not, he would say "WTF devil, I don't need to buy them from you because I don't recognize you or noone being their owner". More, kids are not capable to understand easily metaphors anyway. Nevertheless, they could read between the lines "people are sold and bought at a divine level". Just a small meme. I wrote too much but do you understand what am I saying?

Well, Felix, I think that was a kind of metaphor. What really bothers me is that they endorse child indoctrination. I mean, putting in those poor children minds ideas like "Christ died in the cross," or "He shed a lot of blood for us," or "we belonged to the Devil" is revulsive, and doing it "playing innocent" under the umbrella of a child entertaining show is disgusting.

Maybe I have more patience this morning but I saw it all. Weird (or maybe not), they endorse the idea that is OK to buy people. If it is OK to buy people, maybe it is OK to possess people.

I couldn't get passed the first few seconds.
