This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

The lyrics don't specify that he's spreading the christian gospel, instead he sets out to "Spread the religion of The Rhythm Of Life". It reads to me like it's a song about a traveling musician, not a preacher, who loves music as if it were his religion. A lot of songwriting is all about metaphor and other figures of speech, so I don't think it's meant to literally convey that he was spreading "The Gospel" as in witnessing Jesus...

@Aiden, it's called "The Rhythm of Life". It's mentioned briefly on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G.I.T._on_Broadway. I only recognize it because it was on a paint commercial a few years back and couldn't get it out of my head, so I googled it to find out what the song was.

What's the name of that Diana Ross song in the Guinness advert?
Comment by IAmTheBlog on December 10, 2009 at 8:50am
I loved the Jesus beer commercial!! There's a website by the creators (no pun intended) of the ad with phoney "swag" to go along with it http://jesusbeer.com. If they actually sold it, they might make a lot of money!

I also thought the Guinness one was interesting, though I can't imagine they'd ever show that in the US! The song choice was interesting, too, since it's a Diana Ross song about a preacher spreading the Gospel. Then again it does have the line "there's a million pigeons ready to be hooked on new religions", so maybe it's not as religious as it might seem at first.

bwahahaha. I like how the drug addict is also a chain smoker, weapons enthusiast, poker player, alcoholic, candle burner, and human skull collector.
