Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

My husband always says .....it isn't 'gawd' who is working it's fingers to the bone in the garden!!!

@Patricia: He's absolutely right.  Add in the person(s) who shopped, and did the cooking and serving...

I have some high school friends who, when we get together and revisit our favorite teen-age hangout, always embarass me by praying over the burgers and fries. (The husband "got religion" after we graduated, and became a Baptist minister.  They made a disgusting amount of money in the god-biz.) And it's never a short "blessing;" how he do go on.  I am so tempted to tell him to STFU and tip the servers.

But I'm a chicken as far as this couple is concerned...I really love them, and I don't want to rattle their narrow little cage.

sk8eycat....my impressionable, non-questioning daughter married a fanatic who has now brain-washed her, but we have to accept her choice. When they came for dinner & wanted to pray first I stepped in & said keep it to yourself in my house. That's when my husband said he grew the vegetables, along with all the weeding & watering to go with it, I cleaned, cut, cooked, & served them. Then he made the statement about working the fingers to the bone. Seems odd, but nothing happens in the garden at all unless my husband is doing some stuff with seeds or seedlings.

I think it takes real talent to grow things.  I can't do it.

I bought a "hydropnically gown" basil plant in November, and the directions specifically said to keep it in a dish with 1/2 inch of water and not to plant it in the ground, or in potting soil.  I followed the directions exactly, and the thing was dead before I could gather all the leaves and use them.  Rats!  I love basil!

Basil is a favorite.....we had lots in the garden which I dried & used all winter.

A liberal Christian buddy of mine posted the video "Sh*t people say to ministers" on Facebook. Here is my response.

I'm a biologist and have never seen that picture of the guy in the grain... but if it's a geneticist in any way related to the Green Revolution... in reality... the Green Revolution has caused starvation by disempowering and disenfranchising local populations and participating in worldwide unequal distribution of food... so... I'm not laughing.

Death of a family member

Posted by Larry Taylor on May 20, 2013 at 8:15pm 5 Comments

OK. I am venting. My mother died two weeks ago. She was a “god fearing christian.” Before her death she refused all medical treatment. She wanted to be left alone. She even refused to speak with my brother who is a methodist minister. He is a pip, let me tell you! I suspect she did not believe, but a woman born in her time could not and did not state her actual beliefs. This is the opening salvo to all christians; FUCK YOU! I had so many people come and tell…

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!

Posted by Christy Stewart on May 20, 2013 at 2:17pm 6 Comments

This probably should not have shocked me as much as it did (especially since I am in Texas). I actually thought my coworkers were playing a joke on me because they know I am an atheist. Sadly, this was no joke. This actually happened.

I work in a psychiatric hospital. The doctors who admit patients are general MDs. (Psychiatrists see patients after admission) Yesterday evening we received several calls from irate parents. A new doctor who was doing admissions yesterday actually…

anti-atheist rant from an Orthodox Mormon part 2

What do you think of this,

Nathan Young,

No Jason Torpy it is you that should be banned for promoting atheism, a belief that has no foundation in reality and zero proof behind it.  The letter was a mockery of your atheist beliefs.  I request to the board here that they remove Jason for his unverifiable beliefs in atheism for which he has no proof other than his arrogance.  The letter was a mockery of atheism.  Atheism is stupid and it should be mocked and it…
