This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

As an atheist ex-Catholic with an MA in theology (phew! how'd that happen?) I'd like to introduce anyone who is interested to a cool and funny book I worked on as a freelance editor and which is now out on the market. The New Revised Catechlysm is a parody of the old Baltimore Catechism, and of the Catholic worldview in general. It'll be appreciated especially by ex- and recovering Catholics but will also appeal to students of religion (and no religion) and anyone who likes to chuckle at religion.
There's more information on my website at this link. Please understand that I derive no income from sales of this book--I was paid for my services, but I loved the project so much that I want to help it become a big hit for my client. I'm also thrilled with the end product, which I saw today for the first time.
So please take a look. It's the perfect gift for the lapsed Catholic (or even still-Catholic-with-a-sense-of-humor) on your shopping list, and is available in print and ebook formats.
Thanks!

Comment by sk8eycat on December 8, 2011 at 12:42am Re: "Crusader" I've been saying for years that it's rather peculiar that an all-powerful being needs humans to do his dirty work.
He also needs specially consecrated people (men from the tribe of Levi only) to cook his meals, and eat them, for him.
Sounds kinda helpless, doesn't she/he/it? (Say that last part three times real fast...)

Comment by Robert Tobin on November 26, 2011 at 6:57pm It was Mary who made God the Father of the Son and it was Mary who made Jesus the Son of the Father. If she was both Bride and Mother of God, the God was guilty if the Sin of Incest impregnating his won mother to begat himself.
