i'll take Opus any day - i have a lot here i find "offensive" guys. i have also found a lot of stuff funny. why can't i say that it's offensive. What - the H man is funny to you? i suppose you'd laugh at Idi Amin or Osama bin ladin and his cronies. maybe i will just quit - thanks for the comment rockytij, it was very well worded and thoughtful.

I have a problem with people classifying that picture as 'irreligious', as if implying that Susan shouldn't offended because there was a disclaimer that there are not religious emotional attachments to these pictures. In case anybody wasn't aware, that image doesn't make fun of a 'religion', it makes fun of a human tragedy committed by a psychopath. Making a Jew joke about money, or their hats, or their religious morals is one thing. Making a joke about a human being cremated alive has nothing at all to do with their religious preference. Let's not forget that not all of those of Jewish heritage are religiously Jewish. Some are Atheists, some are Christian--whatever. Let's also not forget that Atheists were discriminated against during the Holocaust and we should take that tragedy very seriously, because it was a massacre not only of humans, but of human rights and the right to free thought and expression. While I'm okay with mildly racist jokes for humor's sake, playing off of stereotypes, the same kind of jokes that even those of the race itself can laugh with everyone else, I am not any more okay with a joke about a human burning alive than I am about a child being raped or being stuffed into a microwave and cooked to death. There's no excuse for that kind of "humor". It isn't funny.

We aren't all like that, Susan. Reserve your judgement independently, please.

I know we are all portrayed as bigots in the south but personally I don't like racist humor and I sure as hell didn't find that funny. I wanted to just keep my mouth shut but I hate to see you folks ganging up on Susan. She is right. You folks really think that was not just a little too far. Come on.

You've complained before about being offended.  He was kind enough to offer you the warning that it'd likely offend people.  If you know you have a stick up your ass, your best bet would be to avoid irritating it, nowamsayin?

No worries on this end, I'm not bigoted or antisemitic.  I am an equal opportunity laugher - I laugh at all the horribly un-PC jokes.  Sometimes I laugh only because they're so un-PC their reactions of out of people like you are great enough to amuse me.  Call me a bitch if you want, I'm comfortable in my own skin.

Your right, I don't want to be in a group of bigots and anti-Semites.  I lost family in the Holocaust, not that any of you care.  You are just after a cheap laugh.  I didn't realize that in order to be irrelevant and irreligious, you had to be despicable human beings.  Thanks for proving me wrong.

If you don't like it Susan, go somewhere else for some jokes, or maybe next time you shouldn't click on the microscopic picture to find out what it is.  The group description specifically says the jokes here will be irreverant and irreligious.  That fits perfectly.

Some folks liked Sam Kennison--many didn't.  Some folks liked Bill Hicks--many didn't.  Both of them were commonly foul and hateful and irreverent, right?  Was it their edginess that some people liked?
