Atheist Humor

This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)

Lewis Black: The Flintstones is not a documentary.

A slightly longer version of the clip that used to be here.

Here is one on Belief.

An atheist buys an ancient lamp at an auction, takes it home, and begins to polish it. Suddenly, a genie appears, and says, “I’ll grant you three wishes, Master.” The atheist says, “I wish I could believe in you.” The genie snaps his fingers, and suddenly the atheist believes in him. The atheist says, “Wow. I wish all atheists would believe this.” The genie snaps his fingers again, and suddenly atheists all over the world begin to believe in genies. “What about your third wish?” asks the genie. “Well,” says the atheist, “I wish for a billion dollars.” The genie snaps his fingers for a third time, but nothing happens. “What’s wrong?” asks the atheist. The genie shrugs and says, “Just because you believe in me, doesn’t necessarily mean that I really exist.”

Has anyone seen atheist jokes that use the familiar frame of 3 people of different faiths walking into a bar?

A revised version might be: "An atheist, an Agnostic and a Religious Person walk into a bar and......

A lame example might be, "and 5 ducks fly in the front door and out the back. The Religious person says, "a sign from God, drinks should be on the house." The Agnostic says, " I doubt that, but who knows." The Atheist says " I didn't know that Glenn Beck was in town."

Billy Grahama is 92 years old. My take on it "Billy Graham is an Honorable Man Just Like A Prostitute is Chaste"

I saw the I'm a Denier bit. My impression is that the short is mocking people who think climate change is real. Of course, they don't mention that the Maldives are going to be underwater within our lifetime and that maps of Greenland need to be rewritten since a good amount of the ice has melted and new islands have been found.

I don't have the tech to do it, but somebody should use the "Pope Song" and add a bunch of pope footage instead of the animation, like the protests and the other silliness. Maybe open with a bit of a papal mass, then go into the song. Any of you have the editing software for that sort of thing?

Riot police swinging truncheons clashed Thursday night with anti-papal protesters in Santiago. [B]Gay groups lined the motorcade route Saturday, kissing as the popemobile drove past.

In Barcelona, a giant "kiss-in" by gays and lesbians is planned for Sunday morning, evidence of the secular lifestyle that Benedict has identified as a threat to the faith. :)

I just had a quick look at the Soda Head site...it IS weird...and most (but not all) of the comments on Keith Olberman's suspension from MSNBC were illiterate, uneducated, and ad hominem attacks on him personally. Not on the legality of his donations to political campaigns, and/or the network's right to forbid employees to be quietly involed in politics.

Is there a new Walter Cronkite out there somewhere? We need one desperately. Damn.
