So just like the cool feeling of being the first to comment on a youtube video or elsewhere doesn't it seem funny how all these churches claim FIRST too?
First Baptist, First Presbyterian, First Lutheran, First Evangelical, First Assembly of God, First, First!, First!!, First!!!
Funny how all these guys were here first? Never seem to find a Second Baptist church or Third Assembly of God or anything like that.
Do they all claim to be first in line or first church like EVER!? Or are just the first to have an imaginary sky buddy who like them bestest of all??
Thoughts?

Permalink Reply by Samantha G on March 25, 2011 at 11:43pm I'd actually prefer the idea of a 3/4 Gospel ... at least they'd admit they only take 3/4 of the bible seriously.
You know what do they have a 1/1000000 Gospel church??
Permalink Reply by Joseph P on March 26, 2011 at 9:03am Now, there's a message I could get behind. According to http://www.trivia-library.com/a/bible-numbers-and-statistics.htm, the Bible (I'm guessing KJV) has 774,746 words. So, which word are you going to believe 3/4ths of?
Or, to look at it another way, the Bible has 3,566,480 letters. Do you know which three letters I'm believing in? :-D
Permalink Reply by David Sensei on March 25, 2011 at 7:53pm As these places seem to offer the ultimate answer, perhaps the Final Church or the Last Stop Before Heaven Church would make more sense. It got me to thinking about 'Seventh Day Adventist' - as God was purportedly having a snooze on that day, shouldn't they respectfully wait till the eighth before they start getting saved? Or is it the apocalypse that takes six days?
More literal thinking - 'the Church of Latter-Day Saints'... Have they rejected the former-day saints? Surely that would have to include the apostles? And when exactly does 'latter-day' start?
Thanks, Samantha, for making me think about something not worth thinking about. I love to do that.
When you come to it, 'The Church of Christ', for Christ sakes? What are the others churches of?

Actually, that one is meant literally. They're emphasizing the Mormon saints over those in the Bible. Remember, when Joseph Smith asked God which religion was the right one, God told him, "None of them," and then proceeded to give an entirely new book. I think the early Mormon church had a whole slew of saints which took the place of the older ones, from the European church.
