 I rode thru Texas in August after going to Sturgis. From Amarillo to DFW the temp was 106. To add insult to injury, the hotel we stayed in <Hampton Inn> was in a dry county so we had to join the "private club" at the Texas Road House so we could have a beer with our steaks. Still, it was great riding.

That's the main reason I live in central Texas.  Pretty much all-year-around riding, except maybe for July LOL.

Were srill getting snow here and all I wantto do is ride.  :(   Spring fever came early this year.

Well, as Scottie from Star Trek would say, "The haggus is in the fire for sure, Capt."
After receiving an email from one of our Miami HOG/Ladies of Harley officers that blamed Atheists and the ACLU for the "war on christmas" I was incensed enough to answer her.
After saying her use of the groups email list to further a specific political and religious agenda was was divisive and bigoted, I indicated it was also behavior inconsistent with being a HOG officer.
I signed it as a Miami HOG member,Miami Harley Precision Thunder Drill Team member AND....
Co-Founder and Vice President of FLorida ATHEISTS and Secular Humanists
Since then there has been a dramatic "chill" in the air when I greet other members.
Don't let "believers" fool ya. When they find out you're and Atheist they do hate you.

Brilliant! I've got an FSM badge and a Darwin fish badge on my panniers... It's great when likeminded people people recognise it. They're great conversation starters, bit like my FSM flag that I fly at campsites when I'm adventure motorcycle touring.
