Hey folks! I ride a beautiful black streetglide. I live near Charlotte, NC, so if you ever want to go for a ride in my area . . .hit me up!

Arright, I'm in!
Current Triumph Sprint rider, former FZR400 roadracer. Now I'm a photographer and web/multimedia college instructor (www.robertstech.com for details).
Michael, my S.O. recently had surgery to pin and plate a broken wrist so I've seen (but not felt) what that kind of pain can do to people. Hang in there. The first 24-48 hours are the worst.

Jo, I'm pain tolerant but made it clear to the orthopedic surgeon I wanted a generous ration of "comfort medication" (in this case Oxycodone). Come to find out, I ain't the hero I thought I was, so the Oxy was used as prescribed.

And no Harry, nary an angel or devil was awaiting at the gate as predicted. However, I do believe I spotted a unicorn frolicking.

Welcome Scott, Pete and Michael to a group where there seem to be too few members. I think the reason is that in many places it's tough to come out as an atheist.
Michael, when my heart stopped I didn't see and St. Pete or devil waiting for me, how about you?

Scott, Pete, Michael ... Welcome!

Michael, Ouch! Take care of those cracked bones. And personally, I've found that asking the nurse in charge of the morphine for relief to be far more effective than asking gawd for relief.

Sitting here in a leg cast, recovering from two fractured ankle bones and nursing a spate of road rash - due to a collision with a cage, I began exploring for Atheist Bikers and sure nuff, here I am.

A week or so ago, my 1976 FLH Harley Davidson ElectraGlide pinned me to the pavement. Despite the pain, I did not once so much as entertain the idea of asking gawd for relief.

A year ago, I learned of a brain tumor the size of a walnut had to be surgically removed from my noggin'. Of course, many family, friends and associates praid for me. I thanked them for their concern, but never once believed their efforts would have anything influence on my chance of recovery. Not once did I reach out to a deity for support or relief.

Several years ago I had a cardiac arrest. I was deader then dry battery in the middle of winter. After being shocked and banged back to life, not once did I extend thanks to anyone or any thing other than the tending physicians.

I guess you could call me a foxhole atheist.

I was born a nontheist and after realizing I had been brained washed since birth to believe in myths, I began self-deprogramming to get my life back. It now belongs to me again. Man, it feels great.

Well, the ankle don't feel so great.

Nice meeting Y'all.

'04 GoldWing with a matching Bushtec cargo trailer. Neither my wife nor I have any need for gods. The universe is far too complex for the simple, lazy answers. We have one life and it's short, but it's enough if enjoyed completely. Let's ride.

Sweet, ride a VFR 800 here, managed to ride from central Alberta, down to Yellow Stone Park and even hit Bike Week in Sturgis in 06.
Be intresting to see some planed rides for the NW states.

I think it is open to all bikers. Someone started a second, more generic biker group a while back, but then disbanded it since this one had started first.

I for one favor the rice burner. ;-)

Welcome Morgal!

Signing Atheists

I was going to set up a group for Deaf Atheists, but figured I'd probably be alone in here if I did that so I figured I'd open it to anyone who knows sign language or even interested in learning it.
