Mindy, believe that I'm thinking of you and your worries.

about your Facebook friends, I read a quote somewhere a long time ago, in a different was a single woman saying it: "I would rather have five good friends than one fantastic lover."  You have a good husband as your best friend, so four more true friends ought to help.  and don't worry about the rest...they were false friends, conditional friends.

Have a great lunch today.  Good food in good company helps, too!

Grinning Cat, that is a wonderful set-up for cats to have!

Chris, those pictures are adorable!!!  I shared them on my FB page (where I only have a very few friends, but they will appreciate them!)

Thanks to The Flying Atheist for sharing a collection of striking pet furniture designs, including a cat-tunnel sofa many of you might have seen, in Hang With Friends.

It reminded me of Bob Walker and Frances Mooney's amazing feline wonderland of ramps, walkways, and secret rooms, The Cats' House in San Diego (doubling as a brightly colored home for the humans as well). Apparently they moved to Virginia last summer, where they hoped to build "a bigger, better, longer, stronger, and more artistic catwalk".

(More pics at

(As I was looking for the website, I also found a more sedately colored but still playful and amazing "Cats' House" designed by a Japanese architecture firm: )

It is funny Spud! Sometimes when I'm walking over to him, I just show him my hands so he knows Imbjust going to kiss him on top of the head, and scratch him under the chin! Lol.

Poor Lucy and DALE.  But it's funny that Dale checks your hands for a brush!

Spud, Dora is MEAN to Lucy! lol. Poor Lucy!  Dora is NOT dignified! lol.  She will crawl up on my chest and purr and purr, but it has to be HER idea!  Here is a picture of Dora with DALE.  LOL, my husband named him.  He will be 13 in April.  He has round eyes, not very "cat-shaped" eyes.  He has rhinitis, poor guy, so he walks around snorting.  He is definitely a man's cat.  LOVE'S my husband and son.  He's not as fond of me, always checks my hands to see if I'm holding a brush!  But I HAVE to brush him! He is so "dandruffy."  Yuck!  He's handsome though.

It's been probably 40 years or more. :(

I found a beautiful silver-gray cat at the animal shelter about a year & a half ago, and wanted it.

But after thinking about it, I knew I would worry about it's health and happiness too much, and figured the cost to properly take care of it would be about $500 a year.  Just too much for my limited income. :(

OMNerves, Spud!  You needz a kitteh!  How long has it been?  I think the longest I've been cat-less was 2 years, and I hated every minute.  {{{{{Spud}}}}
