Thank you, Chris.  I suppose I'm okay, mas a menas, but I'm going to miss Boo a lot.  Still, I just texted my daughter: "As long as I have a loving wife, three wonderful cats and a very neat daughter, I count myself as being very damned lucky" ... and I won't flinch from that statement.

Comment by Plinius on January 12, 2014 at 2:04pm

O no, Loren! What a horrible day for you. I'm so sorry for you.

Comment by Loren Miller on January 12, 2014 at 1:48pm

I don't believe this.  It was bad enough to lose Munchkin at a range of about 500 miles yesterday (my ex in North Carolina had to deal with that).  This morning we - my wife and I - lost our Boo-kitty ... and she was laying in my lap as the vet took care of her not a half an hour ago.

I may write about her later.  Suffice to say, this sucks.

One of the several reasons I prefer my pets to most people, Sk8ey!!!!

Thank you all for your support.  I'm lucky to have a bunch of great memories about Munchkin, and they help a lot.  Having my wife and my four knuckleheads here makes a difference as well.  My daughter has her Lab, "Raleigh" to help her though this, too.

And I'm with you, Felaine ... anyone who wants to make such a crude statement clearly doesn't GET IT!

Oh, Loren!  I'm so sorry to hear about Munchkin!  Damn!  It hurts!  I remember once when I was mourning a dear old cat, and someone at work scoffed at me, saying "Get a grip.  It was only a cat.".  I wanted to deck the SOB.

I'm very glad you have good support, Loren!

I love the Irving Townsend quote, Grinning Cat! I am nine cats old.

Loren, I'm sad to hear that your friend Munchkin is gone, and pleased that you still have other friends with you.

Sad to hear Loren.

Joan and GC, thank you both.  Much appreciated.
