Thank Sk8eycat, I'll investigate what I can get here. Your gadget looks good! And in the meantime I got some possibilities of movement back - I can almost pick up things from the floor ;-) not yet my cats, but they will wait..
Comment by sk8eycat on August 27, 2012 at 11:33am Chris, the gadget I have is a 32" lightweight Sammons Preston Reacher, but there are many different brands and types. Amazon has them, but their prices are too high; you might check out Drugstore.com.
Mine won't hold anything really heavy, like a full ream of printer paper; I haven't tried picking up a cat food dish. I've been using mostly unleaded ceramics lately...saucers from a cheap old set that mother bought for the "beach house" (a trailer, really) 60+ years ago. Why spend money on special pet dishes when I have all this old stuff lying around the house? (and the garage...) The cats don't care.
Comment by Kosak Grabovsky on August 27, 2012 at 10:04am I had a cat the used to eat the puzzle pieces without us knowing. We would use up all the pieces, and there would be holes left.
Comment by sk8eycat on August 27, 2012 at 9:36am We used to enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, but gave it up after the cats discovered how much fun it was to bat the pieces under the sofa, and everywhere else.
Comment by Kosak Grabovsky on August 27, 2012 at 6:52am My brothers old cat loved when we played board games. Of course she loved more joining in and getting to lay on the board.
Comment by Patricia on August 27, 2012 at 12:51am Pounce is the quite likely choice.....methinks.

Comment by Patricia on August 25, 2012 at 1:07pm I had sciatica for several years where the pain went right down to my toes & incredibly agonizing!! I had a completely crushed disc & ended up with surgery after a year or so of physio which didn't do much. I now have permanent damage to the sciatic nerve, but that operation was the best thing I ever did, & that was in 1998.
