Comment by Tammy S on August 24, 2012 at 1:47pm LOL Glad you guys enjoy them, I love that one of the kitty you just posted Steph, my Mother's cat was acting the same way about my presence in her house this afternoon and all I did was trim kitty's nails!
Tammy and Grinning cat - those are great LOLs! Thanks for the smiles!

Idaho Spud: The younger your cat is when it is spayed or neutered, the faster they heal, and the less problems you will have with things like territorial spraying (males), and mating behavior (females). Sex is not fun for most animals, it's a compulsion, and they have no control over it.
Plus the cat and dog overpopulation in this country is horrific... thousands of unwanted animals end up in shelters every year and are killed because there are not enough homes for them, and all shelters are always overcrowded.
As for post-op pain, ask the vet. Do NOT ever give a cat any pain relievers made for humans...especially not aspirin, Tylenol, etc. (I don't know what's safe for dogs.) Always talk to the vet, or a licensed vet tech, before you give your cat any medication that they have not prescribed.

Comment by Kosak Grabovsky on August 23, 2012 at 6:45pm When my mom got my cat neutered, he wouldnt have anything to do with her for a few weeks. But was fine after that.
Hi Grinning Cat, thanks for the warning! Dido & Luna both would like to have interactive TV, but I don't. So they sit on top and try to catch the ball before the players do and they like animal programs so we watch those together.
Comment by Patricia on August 23, 2012 at 12:56pm We got our cats from the spca already neutered & spayed. They must be spayed or neutered, & if they haven't done it, you must sign papers saying you will. They are indoor cats which also helps with keeping vet bills down as they don't pick up anything outside nor get into fights which can cause injury or infections.
