Comment by Idaho Spud on July 5, 2012 at 7:14am sk8eycat, your post just gave me a new thought. I hear of so many dogs & cats that are freaked-out by thunder & fireworks; perhaps their owners should make them something like a little soundproof house for those occasions.
Comment by sk8eycat on July 5, 2012 at 1:42am Awww.
Poor old Jerry-Cat finally came out from under my antique dresser. He was trying to hide from the fireworks noise all day...and privately owned fireworks are illegal in this town, and the entire county. I wonder where people buy the damned things. I also wonder why I don't see or hear any cops cruising around to nail the noisemakers.
Comment by Kosak Grabovsky on June 29, 2012 at 4:06am I have a cat scar on my upper lip, not too visible. My brother was handing me my cat, who didn't like being carried.
Comment by Patricia on June 28, 2012 at 11:43pm I have many scars all over the place with the years of being a kitty servant. Some pretty deep & others not so much, but they are definitely a 'badge'.
Comment by sk8eycat on June 28, 2012 at 9:10pm Patricia: methinks you are right. Hind claws dig deeper, and leave lasting scars. I have a ver visible one on my right wrist that's more than 12 years old from when I was the night attendant at the Cat Hotel. I was just putting a guest back in his condo for the night...
I've had to explain to a couple of therapists that t'was not self-inflicted.
All because a kitty didn't want to go to beddy-bye.
Comment by Patricia on June 28, 2012 at 1:38pm OOOOhhhh owchee!!!!! Methinks the hind claws would be the more painful.
Comment by Sarah Walton on June 28, 2012 at 11:01am Oh man, I can see the claws. Kitty is actually being gentle.
