Tabby's Place, a cat sanctuary.

"Tabby’s Place does not turn cats away due to age, medical need, or “lack of adoptability.” It is, therefore, a safe haven for several older, chronically ill, or handicapped cats. These cats have special needs such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or blindness. At Tabby’s Place, these cats are able to live full and happy lives with the medical care, love, and affection they deserve."
Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary

I'm so happy to hear there's a sanctuary specifically for blind cats.
GREAT WORMER PRICE!! A sweet woman at Petsmart, who I spoke with at the wormer section when checking prices, told me that Kroger (at least, in GA) had the best all around deal on a combo tapewormer/roundwormer, the Sargeant's brand. Didn't believe she could be 100% right (since tapewormer is so expensive), but she was! The 2 tablets, for large dogs, can be ground up with a metal kitchen spatula easily, then subdivided into 5-8 parts, depended on the weight of your cat(s). Each box of 2 is only $6.80 !! I have 30 cats who were suffering esp. from tapeworm. They are now worm free!! Petsmart charged, the equivalent of, 4x more. I hope you cat rescuers can benefit from this info.
Any tips for cat rescuers or large multicat households? I have 30 cats and am having trouble with everything..keeping them warm, keeping them from peeing all over the garage and in my nearby bushes, keeping them from spreading their diseases (mainly URI). Worms, especially tapeworms, seem to be a major problem with my colony and may have been the real cause of death of some of my past kittens. Also having trouble with finding truly low-cost neutering.

Not sure if this is the right place but I wanted to get the word out :)  My niece had to give her cat away due to a combination of a bad divorce and her little brother's allergies.  It is a pure Tonkinese.  If you know anyone that would love to give this kitty a home let me know.  He is a 2 yr old male and is wonderfully people friendly even to complete strangers.  He didn't get along well with a timid older cat.  He didn't fight, just harrassed her into high blood pressure :)

I have two other fosters from the rescue I work with but this guy is too precious to just put out on the rescue site.

Thanks,

Susanne

Hope you found a good home for this cat.
