Christopher Hitchens has just confirmed his intention to attend the AAA Convention in Houston on October 8th, to receive the Richard Dawkins Award for Freethinker of the Year.

Hitchens will also be available to sign copies of his new book "Arguably", which will be for sale at the Convention.  (As will books by Dawkins, Myers, Faircloth, Stenger, McGowan, Scott, etc, etc, etc!)

Richard Haynes will serve as the Master of Ceremonies throughout the Convention.

Tickets are still available, but the hotel is filling up fast. This will be an event not to be missed!!

Wow Nick!  This is great news.  Thanks for the update and see you in Houston!

Great news for Texans!
I glad to see he is well enough to travel. Peace be upon you, Hitch! I wish I could go, but can't afford it.

Thank you, AAI, for the audio recording of Hitchens's acceptance speech that you put out on the Secular World podcast...heroic to the last, that man.
