After the James Webb Telescope gets into space we should be able to see a LOT of extrasolar planets in better detail. I can't wait!
So far we've detected over 200 planets just in our backyard. I wonder how many planets just the Milky Way contains? And the Universe? I think life has to exist somewhere else by sheer numbers alone.
