Geez, Ruth is a tad older than me, and even I learned on a manual! I also remember being shown the 'computers' at my first job - they took up the entire 13th floor of a high rise building!

My first intro to a computer was in the early 80s. I remember arriving on my first day and saying, "Where's my typewriter?" There was none. And I was told if I couldn't learn to type a full shorthand book full of correspondence on the computer by the end of the day I wouldn't have a job. I learned fast!

Ruth
If you are claiming seniority did you learn on an Underwood manual or did you have access to one of those newfangled electric jobbers??

Stop looking for your keys, get the extra (you'd better have an extra) and your keys will magically appear right where you looked for them a bizillion times.

I claim seniority! Anyone born before 1925 can challenge me for the Crown of Decrepitude. Takers?

I think we're the second most active group because we have so many years of crap to get off our chest.

I just clicked on the Groups tab, and this is the second most active group at the moment! Us aging atheists really know how to....uhhh...I forgot what I was going to say....
