Does the internet encourage free thought or censorship?

Internet has played a significant role in our life. It has dramatically improved our lifestyle. I think internet has substantially contributed to freedom. Via internet people can easily express themselves and communicate with others. Having said that internet has downside as well but it’s mainly due to the people who misuse the internet. There are some undemocratic countries which have limited the usage of the internet and also they have manipulated the internet to enforce their propaganda. Generally speaking, the internet is one of the greatest humanity’s inventions and in 21st century life without it is unimaginable.
