I filled up and sent my apostasy act

Last friday afternoon I sent my apostasy act to the archidiocese of Montreal. I announced it to my wife and some friends that were coming over on Friday night. My wife, which was ultra catholic 20 years ago, thought this was cool. One of my friend decided that this is something she wants to do as well. Would you do it?

Comment by R. Rose on June 3, 2011 at 2:11am: Greetings, I'm a bit new to all this. What I'm curious about relates tangentially to apostacy - I wish to resign my assigned role as "human". In other words, "quit" as a member of the human species. As Machiavelli put it, "men are such vile creatures". To whom would I send my resignation, The Hague? The problem is, though, I feel compelled to issue an accompanying "list of grievances". I simply can't seem to completely list all the many things that disgust me about the human species. Humans are scum! I quit! Please advise? Thank you and be well, R.

Comment by Jennifer Kaufman on May 17, 2011 at 11:37am: I have, but only in social settings (family events when relatives are getting bat mitzvahed, and I'm sitting/standing near the rabbi) I ask about such in a hypothetical way...never taken seriously. Don't want to out myself in social settings, and don't want to waste time with a rabbi if I don't have to. Would I spend time with Thor's representative just because he said my mother supposedly had blood of the Thor-ites?
