It gets people talking, potentially people who have never really heard of Scientology or talked to an actual Scientologist, then they may do some research of their own and end up visiting a Scientology center, where they might meet some seemingly nice people and get convinced to join in order to see for themselves that they're not as bad as they've been told by people like us. If you know how to spin it, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
