So the music is not heavy, but the lyrical content, vibe, intensity & attitude, of the music fits the characteristics of metal.

I love that album and I feel the metal vibe through most of the record

These are some current hard rock albums that are not necessarily metal: (They are all highly influenced by metal though)

The Thousandfold Epicentre by The Devil's Blood

Opus Eponymous by Ghost

A Godlike Inferno by Ancient VVisdom (*Note: VVisdom is said like "Wisdom" but the band spells it with 2 capital "V's" to make it look like a capital "W")
