For me, it isn't so much about benefits as it is lack of time. I am already a member of American Atheists, Freedom From Religion Foundation, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and a couple other organizations. I don't plan to renew all my memberships when they expire because I simply don't have time to utilize the ones I already have.

No, seriously I'm in the same boat as vjack in that I just don't have much free time available.

Although, I would be greatly influenced to become a paid member if AAI would call out Bill Maher on his anti-medicine / "big pharma" conspiracy theories during his appearance at AAI's 2009 convention.
