Atheists Helping the Homeless is a group of Atheists who give out toiletries to the homeless. This page is for the Austin group. We do our giveaways once per month under I-35 at 8th Street in downtown Austin. To donate items, call: 512 758 0060

Trolling With Logic and fans raised over $2000. for Atheists Helping the Homeless! That's more in donations in 12 hours than we've gotten this year so far. We greatly appreciate this help! Some may be interested in my collection of 70 stories from the years I worked on the streets and in the jails. It's called My Address is a River: A Place to Belong, Closer to Home.

(one request/suggestion: instead of "the homeless"--"the disabled," "the atheists" etc--maybe "homeless people"--emphasizes the humanity rather than what a person is lacking or distancing "them" from "us")
