try a new game, wow is truly a drain on the mmo industry. it made people think that wow is how an mmo has to be, in the past games had much more freedom, better communities and alot more to them.. not just a train ride where you look out the window always on the same destination without any choice where you are going or how you will get there

Don't get me wrong, flying is a ton of fun and super convenient, but there was something more intimate about riding down that road in Ashenvale always prepared for a random PVP encounter. World PVP was one of my favorite things to do in game pre-cataclysm, now it's quite hard to come by as most players just fly from place to place or are in a different phase in an area. Every so often I'll run into someone who wants to fight while questing or digging for fossils, but the days of killing flight masters or taking over towns waiting for 80s to show up seem like they are over.
Another big issue I've had with Cata and even most of Wrath is that all the gear looks the same. They constantly use the same models with VERY slight color differences, or recycled old models. It's a bummer to quest in new content, get an upgrade only to find out it's replacing something that looks exactly the same. Supposedly in the next major patch they are letting players change the skins of their gear but I don't know to what extent. With millions upon millions of dollars they bring in every month, you'd think they could hire 1 or 2 more people to model up some new gear when they create new items.
