Are you romantically involved with a theist?

This is a group to discuss the difficulties and rewards of dating theist. I personally am involved in one, so I know that there are a lot of both in such relationships!!!

Welcome to the group, Michae!

This group is starting to grow a little! Yesterday I was pondering deleting this group as there were no comments, discussions, etc, but since then we have 3 new members and a couple discussions. \

This is interesting. I just joined here and this is the first group I saw. I am currently in a relationship with a woman who, while not being overly religious, plays in a church band. So, I think this group is for me.

I feel a little lucky that my wife keeps me around - after all, I'm the one that shook things up. When you think about it, very little has changed. A change in belief has nothing to do with our promise to care for each other until death. If I went completely schizo, I believe that she would stay with me and help me as much as she could; that's the kind of woman she is. She deserves the same kind of loyalty from me. But it's not all martyrdom - we really feel like we need each other. That's probably a good problem for married folks to have.

Off the subject - thanks again for starting the group. Oh, and you've got a gorgeous avatar!

Don't delete the group, Byron. I've only just found it and think it could prove to be both useful and interesting.

Sorry I'm late, guys. What did I miss?

Seriously - don't kill the group. I think it could be very valuable. A big percentage of atheists are married to believers. I became an atheist after about 7 years of marriage. Eighteen years later, the marriage is still going strong.

I am thinking of deleting this group, there has been zero activity, and only one other member besides myself. I guess there just aren't that many atheists who date/marry theists and want to share their experiences about it...
