If we could get enough groups meeting around the U.S. than once a year, put on funny hats, go to Vegas and call it a...convention.

But whenever women who suffered birth trauma try to talk about their problems "down there", most people want to invalidate the women and make them feel "selfish" because, after all, women are supposed to value getting a healthy baby out of the deal and not care what happened to them in the process of delivering that healthy baby.

Before I get to the above statement, let me say YES, I agree with most of your original statement. Sorry anyone who can cut you open and put you back together, is going to have some ego and possibly a little arrogance. My wife has been working with doctors for years and this is not as big a problem as pop culture likes to make it. But your other points I have NO argument with,

The above statement hurts your over all argument or goal for female health, and access to health care. Your can't go to many major hospitals and not find women's pavilions, and loads upon loads of female health care specialties. Breast cancer has one of the most powerful lobbies in Washington. Very few of these organisations exist for men. And that's fine , but let's stop behaving that their is a giant conspiracy against women.
And while I'm pro-choice, please,.. the average birth is not as harmful for the mother as abortion.

If your willing to bet that it's only a matter of time before "some" organization calls itself an association and declares its true. What do we have "3 million homeless", "getting drunk and having sex is date rape"," vaccinations are an evil plot by pharmaciticuls causing autism" all of these unfounded claims and others diminish the the claims of people who have suffered real injustice. You are one in how many men??
If the male sex life was being fucked up by vascectomies the outrage would be un ignorable. Once again I'm very sorry yours went bad. And I hope for nothing less than your total recovery and a continuance of a great sex life.

It's really about checks and balances and how we hold each other accountable in society

There are checks and balances, there are Armies of ambulance chasers who will take the case free of charge until they win a verdict. Just another by-product of an u-regulated capitalist society.

My hatred is first with the vasectomy procedure, itself, and secondly with those who perform it without first properly warning the potential victims of their blighted future. They really do make it seem like something that's so easy you could swing by a drive thru window and be playing basketball the next day after a brief session of iced peas to the kiwis. My doc showed me a diagram of the whole system and pointed to the tubes that would be cut and described them as looking like spaghetti. He said that very rarely some men develop a granuloma. He said he only knew of two other men who had experienced that. I guess now it's three. He didn't mention pain for over a year. He didn't mention recurrent infections. He didn't mention reduced orgasm. He didn't mention pain with orgasm. He didn't mention the enlarged veins that I first experienced on my testicles or the painful swollen veins I now have on my penis. He didn't mention what this does to your sexual confidence or to your view of life in genral. He didn't mention the sucidal depression at the proespect of losing one's genitals or the endless surgery that men go through to try to end the agaonizing pain. No, that fucker didn't mention any of that! Yet, after I joined VasectomyPain I came to find out that among the 40 some members, we've all had similar problems.

So much for it so rare! I personally think there is a massive cover up afoot, not to mention most guys don't want to talk about problems "down there!" I'm willing to be that the real numbers are closer to 50%!

First let me say I'm sorry this happened to you, from the sounds of it I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I see you do give the med. community some credit in regards to your wifes difficult preg. I do the same as I almost lost both do to illness during her preg.
Did your doctor actually screw up? Or did you have unforseable reactions to the operation?
These are the only two possibilities I can think of, one requires a lawsuit for mal practice one does not.
My wife has suffered with a number of ailments, and sometimes the doctors could help sometimes not , but considering she has been a med. professional for almost twenty years, she understands that there are no guarantees.
And I'v seen enough in my life and felt enough in my life to darken my perception of the whole human race. But I prefer to focus on the positives, other wise we end up like the hatred filled radicals and fanatics.
One other idea I posit here is that the problem is not with the medicine, or most of the personnel, but with the entire economic system that brutally promotes profit over all else.

Go out right now and get your scrotum cut open, your tubes pulled out and snipped and see what happens. If things go great, you'll be fine with what was done to you. But if you're amongst the victims, I guarantee you'd be mad as Hell and singing a different tune! You can't just go through an experience like that without it darkening your perception forever.

Yeah, I did choose to go through with it -- and I will regret that decision for the rest of my life. Had I known what a scam I was getting myself into, I would've chose condoms all the way, despite how much they suck!

I know plenty of guys who have had really bad vasectomy experiences -- some worse than others. I know, as well, that it was because of the vasectomy that I felt all the pain I did. Why else would it be in my testicles after the surgery? Even Dr. Lustig freely admitted it was directly because of the vasectomy. That's not even an issue. What I don't know is a single person with a successful lawsuit against a urologist. These doctors are megarich fatcats who have an army of well trained lawyers ready at the drop of a hat that are willing to use any amount of deception to make the victim look wrong.

Now, I'm not saying that all doctors are bad. I'm not even saying that all urologists are bad. But there are some very bad doctors out there and they are protected by the law and by the public who doesn't know any better.

And it really is a must that a huge disclaimer be put on any paperwork -- it should be pages --of all the terribly painful things that could happen to your precious balls. Some guys have had to have testicles completely removed the pain is so bad! Had I know any of that I never, ever would have agreed to it!
